We began with a simple, single-test, single-readout unit. While uptake was initially slow, once farmers saw the benefits, many adopted the tool to help reduce Somatic Cell Counts (SCC). At the time, there was a strong industry push from Fonterra and DEXEL to bring SCC levels down, and farmers welcomed any tool that could support this goal.

How It Works
Every udder quarter produces a unique milk formula. Infected quarters expel elevated sodium chloride levels, which activate the cow’s immune system to release white blood cells. The Milkchecker™ Tracker measures these salt levels and compares them across quarters to determine if an infection is present — and how severe it is.
With instant, on-screen results, you’ll know sooner and can act faster.
Post-Treatment Monitoring
After treatment, the Tracker helps you determine if recovery is underway. Persistent high readings may indicate deeper issues — in which case we recommend veterinary consultation.
